Bizarre animal stories are heard often, but none are quite like the latest vicious and deadly elephant attack of a 68-year-old woman in India. Maya Murmu was collecting water in Raipai , located in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, India, where a herd of elephants came her way.  That's when she tried to flee, but one of the elephants rushed toward Murmu and trampled her, Murmu's family brought her body home for funeral preparations to take place the same evening.  That's when a more unusual event occurred. As the ceremony was taking place, The Times of India reported that a herd of elephants appeared from the forest, sending villagers running.  They left Murmu's body behind. One of the elephants then reportedly attacked the woman's corpse by picking up the body and throwing it in the air. A teenager (name withheld) on Thursday narrated to an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offenses Court how her 43-year-old biological father (name withheld) allegedly defiled her many times. She was led in evidence by Lagos State counsel, Ms Bukola Okeowo. The witness said that before the alleged defilement, her mother relocated to South Africa. According to her, her mother relocated in 2014. She said that her father had been having sex with her since she was 14 years. The survivor said that her father told her that “holy spirit” instructed him to have sexual intercourse with her. I was 14 years’ old when the incident happened. It started with him touching my body.
