A 30-year-old man, identified as Emmanuel David, is currently on the run after allegedly killing his friend, Fabian Antia, who gave him accommodation in Benin city, Edo state. It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday, January 23, 2022. According to a source, “Emmanuel was squatting with the Fabian and his brothers. They were four of them living in the apartment. On Sunday, Fabian’s brothers went out, leaving him and Emmanuel at home. However, when they got back the next day which is Monday, they noticed blood stain everywhere in the house, but they couldn’t find neither of them. There was confusion at the headquarters of the  Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, (NAPTIP), Abuja, where 18-year-old 200 level student of Baze University, Ifoema Obalum accused her father of sexual assault and resisted attempts by officials of the agency to forcefully hand her and the younger brother over to the accused. The duo, had in December last year, ran to NAPTIP seeking protection from the father who is medical personnel at the State House clinic and a lecturer at the same Baze University, Abuja. The United States Attorney’s Office at the Central District of California says that Ramon Abbas, aka, Hushpuppi, will be sentenced on February 14, 2022. The court’s Director of Media Relations, Thom Mrozek, said Hushpuppi has been scheduled for sentencing on Valentine’s Day, according to BBC Pidgin. Mrozek was, however, yet to respond to an email inquiry by The PUNCH as of the time of filing this report. In a plea agreement document sighted by The PUNCH, Hushpuppi had pleaded guilty to various offences bordering on internet scam and money laundering, among others. The document was signed by Hushpuppi; his lawyer, Loius Shapiro; Acting United States Attorney, Tracy Wilkison, amongst others. House Owner Machetes Outstretched Hand Of A Midnight Thief In Ughelli by Nksleek

A midnight thief operating around Ighwreovie community in Ughelli North Local Government area of Delta State must have sustained fatal injuries after a house owner (name withheld) severely macheted his outstretched hand during the course of an operation. Focus Naija can report that the thief had successfully tore the the victim’s net but the noise made by the window blind gave him away. According to the victim, he learnt to be vigilant after surviving an attempt by burglars to gain access into his apartment sometime ago. Gunmen Attack Bullion Van In Delta, Cart Away Money by etokhana

A bullion van belonging to a yet-to-be-disclosed bank was on Thursday afternoon attacked along the Otor-Owhe section of the Ughelli/Asaba Dual carriageway in Isoko North council area, Delta State. They were unconfirmed reports the hoodlums carted away an undisclosed amount of money. It was gathered that they shot sporadically into the air and sprayed bullets on the van during a shootout with operatives. Residents were said to have scampered for safety following the heavy shootings. Fortunately, no casualty was recorded. Delta Police spokesman DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the attack. He however clarified that the money carted away were “condemned currencies which were being conveyed to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)”. He added that the hoodlums escaped with gunshot injuries in the ensuing gun duel with policemen.
